About The Project
DTO is implementing a multi-year Integrated Rights Promotion Project through SHG Approach as its core methodology of work with the communities in Alero/Paminyai and Lii Sub Counties in Nwoya District. The overall objective of the project is to Improve the well being of women, youth and children through realization of socio economic and political rights and the specific objectives are to; build strong People`s institutions; improve the lives youth through gainful employment that shall address community needs and reduce incidences of child marriage in the two sub counties.
JOB PURPOSE:
DTO is seeking to recruit suitably qualified personnel for the position of a Project Officer who will be in charge of the project in the two sub counties and below are the job descriptions: –
Duties and responsibilities/ Job Functions:
- Standard functions
- Project/ programme planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Coordination with project stakeholders at various levels
- Partnerships
- Programme development

Minimum qualifications & experience:
A minimum of bachelor’s degree is a relevant subject.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project delivery, management and facilitation
Proven knowledge and experience in the delivery of projects in post-conflict and development contexts, with a focus on cash support and business development.
- Knowledge of proposal development
- Good interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated success in project implementation.

Our Areas of Operations
DTO operates in Gulu City, Gulu, and Nwoya districts in addressing health needs, human rights, and livelihoods concerns amongst the poorest of the poor, vulnerable and marginalized populations in target locations of operation. In the next six years (2023 – 2029), DTO will expand operations to cover the districts of Amuru, Omoro, Pader, Kitgum, Lamwo and Agago, as permitted by the National NGO Bureau.
